Cord Closure VS Throat Closure
This mini-lecture was in response to a question from a student regarding how I manage to project my voice so well without a microphone 🗣️🙅🏽♂️🎤
The key is finding focus in sound energy by way of intentional & skillful (that means SAFE) vocal fold compression. It’s critically important that singers understand the difference between the sensations of firmly closing their vocal cords and closing/collapsing the THROAT—they are NOT the same thing!
