Created under painkillers - The Temple of Elemental Evil, why not a classic?
The Temple of Elemental Evil? Why forgotten? It seems like an interesting project, but so little is said about it. However, there are many reasons why this game didn't become a classic and didn't save Troika Games, despite its renowned system, setting, and module.
And then, the CRPG genre was slowly dying out, and TOEE was clearly one of its failures, further turning studios away from the classic approach.
