How to change the window regulator on a UAZ Bukhanka.
The window regulator on my UAZ-2000 failed, so I decided to replace it. I got a new window regulator. There's a mounting plate that connects two cables; it can't be disconnected during the entire installation process. I installed the window regulator myself, then the cable started to falter. First, the top roller, then the two lower ones. To remove the mounting plates, you need to remove the window regulator again, bend the plate, and, without releasing the pressure, put the window regulator back in place. There's a small problem: the cable needs to be routed between the door release rod and the outer body panel. I had a problem, and it was a real embarrassment. I had to remove the door release handle. The whole process took about two hours. A tedious and thankless process.
