Having an SSL certificate is a must if you want display trust to users so when you go through the trouble of getting one and updating your URLs to https you want it to show for everyone. The problem is if users type your websites address they will get the insecure http site unless you take the steps to force redirect https for all users. Luckily this is very easy thing to do novice and experience web developers or site admins alike.
There are two ways to get it done.
The first is quick and dirty and just requires installing and activating a great light wight plugin called Really Simple Plugin. You can see the plugin page here
https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-...
The second way you will need higher level credentials to the either your CPanel account or the equivalent to get to your site's .htaccess file to add new rules.

Understandably YouTube does not allow certain symbols in this description box, like brackets, that is in the code, please visit the article on my site to get the rules you saw in the video.

Adding these rules is the same process that the plugin did automatically. But I prefer to not install plugins that are not entirely necessary.
