This video will show you how to easily get your first Victory in FTL using the starting ship. This will unlock the Engi Cruiser which will be the ship used in the next video.

I was unable to get any of the Kestral Achievements done, because
1) My only chance to get a Mantis crew member I was short on scrap and couldn't afford him
2) I was never offered a chance to purchase the Cloak system
3) I was too chicken to intentionally go down to 1 health
