This is how to check your valve, ((if the door is tight and the pin is there)) you also need to check for pressure on the small valve that closes the door and it needs to stay closed when you cover the small hole with your finger, if the door opens or it slowly opens then the small valve is bad. Door has to remain motionless while covering the small hole.
