Pace And Acceleration Break The Match Engine
I've read your criticism. I've waded through the debate. I'm still convinced. Pace and Acceleration are the two most important attributes in Football Manager, and it's no contest.
If you want to improve your Football Manager squad at any level, you need to buy faster players. If you are choosing between a fast player and a slightly slower player who is better at other things, choose the fast player.

Note that the only "game changing player attributes" are Pace and Acceleration.
