Following the theme of Nekroz, this week's deck profile will explore the ancestors of the Nekroz in the original ice archetype Ice Barriers.
Hailing from the first iteration of Duel Terminal, Ice Barriers are an archetype of water type monsters that combine continuous stun effects with relatively light swarming effects. While intended to be one of the big players of Hidden Arsenal, a lapse in card design resulted in them being relegated to meme status.... until now...
With the release of the Structure Deck Freezing Chains, Ice Barriers have received a new wave of support designed to put the archetype together to create a cohesive and powerful archetype.
So pack yourself some warm clothes. Heat up that Cocoa. Because if you're not ready, you might find yourself being on the freezing end of Ice Barrier's cold shoulder
