Dealing with a stressed Borneo short-tailed python
Not many short-tailed pythons (aka Borneos or Black Sumatrans or even Blood Pythons) are really defensive or even aggressive. Usually they are trying to make a statement like “I’m too hot” or “too dirty” or “too untrusting” so pay attention to what needs to be corrected.
In the meantime stressed snakes are difficult to manage so work on handling them carefully and confidently (even if you aren’t!). Gloves, hooks and best of all quiet stress free isolation. You need time and patience.
