Last year, when I was starting this channel, I designed a logo and channel banner out of necessity. Don't get me wrong, I opened Photoshop, layered a few icons on top of each other, colored them, and created an image that read "WEB MAKİNASİ" (WEB MAKİNASİ) in bold.
I previously had a video on branding. So, if you've watched that video, I mentioned that fancy visuals aren't all that important.
In my previous video, I mentioned that we're preparing for the second season of Web Makinası and that we'll be working on creating more frequent content during this time. The video quickly received a lot of comments. Thank you so much for your interest and attention :)
We recently revamped the website of my company, ODABLANC. As a result, we believe it's important for our brands to be displayed up-to-date across all channels.
I wanted Web Makinası's main color to be the same as my company, ODABLANC. The HEX code for our main color is #28304e, a shade of the color known as "royal blue."
Furthermore, Web Makinası's profile photo currently features a randomly generated logo. Instead, I decided to use a profile photo that I felt would better reflect this channel, which has nearly 22,000 followers. I'll take this photo as a screenshot from one of our old videos.
Now let's get to work. How about effects and such?
While preparing for the YouTube channel, I'll be using this Photoshop template created by Stefan Asafti (@librariadedesign) to simplify both the explanation and the work. You can find Stefan's channel and the address of this template in the description. As for why I'm using a template, instead of having to fiddle with settings like YouTube profile photo size and banner size one by one, this template automatically creates them all. I promised I'd also talk about the tools we use ;)
Yes, in this video, I tried to explain and demonstrate how I worked on revamping the branding of Web Makinası's YouTube channel. I'm not an expert in Photoshop, nor do I have any training. I can't create works of art like others, but I've learned enough to handle my daily tasks.
