Today, I hopped on a train and then a boat to reach one of Hiroshima Prefecture’s most sacred islands, Miyajima.
Upon arriving, I found myself surrounded by curious deer, who quickly became my delightful companions as I explored the island's wonders. The highlight of my journey was ascending to the island's highest peak using the local ropeway.
Little did I anticipate that, as I neared the summit, I would stumble upon a flame that has been continuously burning for over 1,200 years!
