Join us to explore the heart of Madrid, a vibrant capital where grand boulevards, historic squares, traditional tapas streets, iconic landmarks, and unexpected modern energy come together.
🚶♂️ This Madrid walking tour begins at Puerta del Sol, the beating heart of the city, home to the famous “El Oso y El Madroño” sculpture and Spain's legendary Kilometre Zero. From here, we head through Calle del Carmen toward the spectacular Gran Vía.
🏎️ We continue to Callao Square, where Madrid's Formula 1 Grand Prix Fan Zone brings a very different kind of energy to the historic center, before walking along Gran Vía and turning into De la Montera Street.
🏛️ From here, we enter Madrid's historic heart, passing Calle de Postas, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Provincia, and the famous San Miguel Food Market, before reaching Plaza de la Villa and the old City Hall area. We then wander through Cuchilleros Street, surrounded by some of the oldest streets and traditional establishments in Madrid.
🍷 After returning to Puerta del Sol, we explore the lively Huertas tapas area and Arenal Street before making another atmospheric pass through Plaza Mayor.
🌳 Finally, we leave the historic center behind and walk towards Parque del Retiro, entering through Puerta del Ángel and finishing beside the magnificent Great Pond of Retiro Park — one of Madrid's most iconic green spaces.
