Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo supports AB 403, the Legislative Employee Whistleblower Protection Act
(Sacramento) Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo, (D-Los Angeles) stood in support of AB 403, the Legislative Employee Whistleblower Protection Act, a bill introduced by Assemblymember Melissa Melendez (R-Lake Elsinore) and signed by Governor Jerry Brown- during a recent floor assembly session. Carrillo said, "This measure is a crucial first step in ensuring our employees, whether they are fellows, aides, interns or otherwise, feel safe when disclosing instances of sexual harassment," said Carrillo. "Recent history has clearly shown us that the measure this legislative body operated under is not enough. We must remain committed to long needed institutional change if we are to prove to our constituents that we hold ourselves to the highest standards our positions call for.
