DC Public Library connects customers in need with library specialists whose experience mirrors their own. These Peer Navigators are trained specialists who serve library customers without basic services like housing, food, shelter, and legal services. In this profile, we'll meet Renee Hines and Jerome Thomas, who share how their own now story and how their work greatly impacts the community and the neighborhood library experience for customers everyday. The Peer Navigator Program is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
