First, outline the layout (placement) of the apple on a branch with leaves, on the plane of a sheet of paper, with a graphite pencil (F). Then we work with large tonal spots, making light strokes and gradually picking up the tone of the picture. We add detailing gradually, not forgetting to look at the general tone of the picture. We draw from the general to the particular and vice versa, from the particular to the general. In the middle of the drawing, change the pencil to a softer one (B-2). Highlight certain parts of the picture with an eraser, if necessary.
