📌 THE CORE PRINCIPLE:
Laser triangulation is an elegant, non-contact optical measurement method. A laser source projects a beam (either as a point or a line) onto an object. A camera, positioned at a precisely calibrated angle, captures the reflection. By using trigonometry to calculate the geometric relationship between the laser source, the object, and the camera, the sensor determines the exact distance (Z-height) of the object’s surface in real-time.
