Berlin Zoo in transition
Germany's oldest zoo is undergoing an exciting rejuvenation! Many of the new projects are already well underway or have been completed. The rhinoceros pagoda, a new landmark and symbol of species conservation, is particularly noteworthy. This new home for rhinos and tapirs provides species-appropriate habitats.
After a long absence, wolves and bears can now be seen at the zoo again. The pygmy hippos have also brought joy with the arrival of new offspring. The predator enclosure, "Kingdom of the Hunters," is already attracting many visitors and will be further expanded in the future. There are also new arrivals among the sand cats. All of this is featured in this video. It will be exciting to see what the next steps in the zoo's development will bring! Incidentally, the pandas have had cubs again. The breeding program has been a success. They are still too young to be seen by the public.
