Logitech G502 SE Hero Review
The mouse arrived in a very nice Logitech branded custom box with basic instructions in the box along with a warrantee information sheet, a Logitech sticker and in the bottom a plastic case containing the weights, the instructions are basic but sufficient as the Logitech website has a good PDF manual along with the Logitech G HUB software and lots of assistance should you need it.
The feel of the mouse is very nice with a colour mixture of silver and white, matt black and gloss black finish, the button placement seems to have been thought out well with every button only being a micro movement away, the cord is a braided finish and at 1.8 meters a good length that should cover most setups.
I grabbed the Logitech G HUB software off their site and set it up on my PC, I really liked the software as it was not overly complicated, instantly picked up the device I was using and allows a mass of modifications along with the ability to assign and alter all the buttons on the mouse easily, changing the colours is also highly customisable with almost an infinite number of combinations. The DPI speed settings work really well allowing you to set the exact movement speed you want.
I had not used a gaming mouse with weights before but found this an interesting addition and am still adjusting the weight and balance to find the perfect setting for me, I did like the magnetic cover which saves a lot of messing about when changing or adjusting them.
Overall I really like this mouse, the build quality seems very good, the Logitech G HUB is not only simple to use it allows a multitude of adjustments and alterations to the speed, colour and button assignment of the mouse, the weights allow further customisation along with a neat little storage case and easy access panel on the bottom to change them so it gets a top rating from me.
