Failover with Recursive Gateway
Using more than one internet gateway (ISP) allows us to failover where one link can be used as the main gateway and the other becomes the backup link.
For these needs, the usual configuration is to define a check-gateway and differentiate the distance values for each routing rule.
Failover can be done without a script by setting the check-gateway and distance value for each routing rule, thus the check-gateway mechanism will periodically check the ISP gateway by sending a PING packet.
