A daily rest period (DRP) is a daily period during which a driver is free to drive. There are two types of DRP:
▪️A "regular daily rest period" is any uninterrupted rest period of at least 11 hours. Alternatively, this regular daily rest period may consist of two uninterrupted periods of at least 3 and 9 hours, respectively.
▪️A "reduced daily rest period" is a rest period of at least 9 hours but less than 11 hours.
