In this video, I explain that in Project Zomboid fishing can be quite tedious and time-consuming to level up. Especially in the early levels or when your fishing line snaps! My advice for the early fishing levels is to not use a rod at all! Save them for later levels and go grab some spears. They are easy to make and therefore quite disposable. Just find any spot of water, check your surroundings to not be snuck upon, start fishing, and speed up your time! Just keep in mind that in the winter the chance to catch any fish at all is decreased by 20%. Best of luck!
