Welcome to the Militia Gaming Community Channel, I’m Trigger Militia and today I will be talking in depth about how to use Pathfinder in Apex Legends specifically on Xbox One hopefully teaching you how to WIN MORE with Pathfinder
This guide covers all three of Pathfinder's Abilities plus a couple of pro tips for advanced users and strategy.
Pathfinder Abilities
Passive Ability: Insider Knowledge - Limit 1 Circle
Tactical Ability: Grappling Gun - 20m range. 14 second cool down.
Ultimate Ability: Zip Line Gun - 130m range. 90 second cool down.
Pro Tips:
Pro Tip#1 - You are only allowed to see one circle in advance. In order to scan another beacon you cannot have a green circle on your map so plan your scans so that you can reveal another circle towards the end of he game. Knowing where you will need to be gives your squad a huge tactical advantage and a head start for map positioning which is so important for the final circles.
Pro Tip#2 - Your grapple can throw you forward quite a bit. While running forward, aim at the ground in front of you and press Left Bumper then immediately press A to jump. Continue to hold up your left analog stick. You will notice that the grapple will throw you forward and slightly into the air. This will take some practice as it does require some coordination.
Pro Tip#3 - Use your grapple to swing. The way the game was designed your grapple pulls you toward where it is hooked to but you still have the ability to control the direction you player is facing and moving. So, while moving in a certain direction you can grapple a pole of building corner and then turn away from that object and hold forward on the analog stick to basically swing around it.
Pro Tip#4 - Use you Zip Line gun to help squad mates reunite with the squad especially if they are getting shot at and are not nearby. Let’s say one of your squad mates is in a gun fight and you cannot help them because you are far away. Shoot your zip line close to them to provide a quick way out of the situation or to provide you a way to get to them to help fight off the enemy players. This has saved my squad many times in the heat of battle.
Pro Tip#5 - Combine you abilities to gain the ultimate tactical advantage towards the end of the game. Scan a beacon to find out where the next circle will be, then shoot a zip line into the new circle to get your whole squad there and then immediately use your grapple hook to get on top of nearby building or cliff to scout the area for the remaining teams. This one of the best ways to get your squad in the best possible tactical position.
