I started my morning outside of LA at a racetrack previewing the Tilta Hydra Arm Mini.
And after several hours of touching ever button I could, riding around in the camera car, and taking the controls for some epic rollers, it was time to get to work. So I knocked out some BTS shots and flew drones with Potato Jet until the lighting was perfect. And there it was, the Ferrari 308 sitting perfectly in the middle of the track with absolutely insane lighting. I grabbed a Canon R5 with the 50mm F1.2 and started shooting.
I start out with wider shots first then moved in for some details. I also underexpose to keep a bit more of the highlights and I can always raise the shadows in post. For the edit, I increased the white balance, jacked up the contrast, and went to work tweaking the colors.
I took my yellows more orange, highlighted the greens, and took my blues slightly more. Next I removed that light pole using the new content aware remove and added a few masks to tune my subject and background just a bit more.
