Local backup tutorial
This tutorial will walk you through setting up a local backup. To get started you will need the BlueSky backup client and an External hard drive. The external hard drive doesn't need to be new, but it should be large enough to hold all the data you decide to backup locally.
Q- Am I limited by how much data I can back up locally?
A- No, your only limitation for a local backup would be the size of the destination hard drive.
Q- Can you let me know if a local backup fails or has other problems?
A- NO, the solution would be to set up email notification. This will email you after a backup and we can help you set this up.
Q- Is a local backup the same as a drive image?
A- No, backups and a drive image are 2 different approaches to disaster recovery. While the BlueSky client software can create a drive image, this video only demonstrates setting up a local backup. Feel free to contact us for additional information on drive imaging.
