That's right, it's time for our yearly four hour National Novel Writing Month write-in! Join us for writing prompts, word sprints, encouragement, and ALL THE PRODUCTIVITY! This is the perfect time to get caught up on your NaNo project, or to give yourself a boost as we head into the dreaded third week slump. We hope to see you here!
If you've got any writing, reading, or NaNoWriMo related questions, ask them in the comments and we'll try to address them live.
THE PROMPTS IN THIS STREAM:
1. WIP – Your character is still a work in progress. They’ve been struggling with something, and slip up, falling back into an old familiar pattern
2. Shiny new idea – Your character is distracted from their mission by something or someone.
3. Foreshadowing – Drop a hint about something big that’s coming. Could be at the end, could be in the next chapter. Keep the reader engaged and guessing what might come next.
4. Repetition – Use repetition to your advantage. Maybe it’s a menacing message that keeps coming up. Maybe it’s a theme that ties the beginning and the end. Whatever it is, be sure to bring it into this chapter.
5. Coffee/Tea – During a hard moment, your character is revitalized by an outside force.
6. Candy – Someone seemingly sweet comes into your character’s life. But they soon realize they must be careful, too much can make you sick.
7. Shatter Me – Your character gets terrible, earth-shattering news from someone they love.
8. Twilight – It’s starting to get dark. And that means something VERY bad for your cast of characters.
