Dependent (multilevel) drop down lists in Excel: A step up
Going beyond the standard dropdown lists, you may want to choose an item from list 1, then select appropriate sub items from list 2 based on your list 1 choice. And maybe the same from list 2 to list 3.
That's what I call dependent or multilevel dropdown lists. There are a few approaches to achieve this but many are convoluted or overly complex. I've deliberately veered away from the complicated techniques that other 'experts' use.
