"Doomwatch" was a British science fiction television program produced by the BBC consisting of three 13-episode series transmitted on BBC1 from 1970 until 1972. The program was set in the then-present day and dealt the issues faced by a fictional scientific government agency led by Dr. Spencer Quist (played by John Paul) called the Department for the Observation and Measurement of Scientific Work (nicknamed "Doom Watch") which was tasked with investigating and combating various ecological and technological dangers facing British society at the time.
