Discover Montpellier's Historical centre, also known as the Écusson district home to over a thousand years of history within its labyrinth of typical medieval streets. It is home to a variety of sights including the Place de la Comédie at its heart, the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre and a variety of Historical Hotels and private mansions. The vast majority of the buildings in this historic centre have medieval roots and were modified between the 16th and the 18th centuries.
