After some time, as you use your computer, it is likely that some errors may be noticeable on your hard disk that affects the performance of your computer.
A great way to resolve this issue is by using the inbuilt Disk Check utility available on all versions of Windows.
And while you are using your computer, one or maybe more system files may become corrupted which can affect the performance of your system.
So, it is important to check that all the files of your system are original and still work according to the computer system.
One way to check your operating system's files is through System File Checker.
This is also one of the things you should do especially if your system is already infected with a virus.

Use CMD to Check your hard drive for errors:
chkdsk /c
Use CMD to Repair protected Windows system files:
sfc /scannow
Use CMD to Remove Virus:
dir attrib -s -h -r /s /d . (show hidden files/folders)
attrib -h -r -s autorun.inf (find specific file/folders)
del autorun.inf (delete file/folder)
