MILITARY ARCHAEOLOGY. Commander with the Order of the Red Banner
On April 9, 2014, the remains of four Soviet soldiers were found near Voronezh, one of whom was likely a commander. In addition to binoculars and a compass, he was wearing the Order of the Red Banner—a rare find for searchers. The identification number will be used to identify the fallen. Indirectly, it can be concluded that the soldiers found were from the 232nd Rifle Division and were killed no later than July 1942.
