Open VMware Workstation
Click on Create a New Virtual Machine
Select Typical (Recommended)
Choose Installer disc image file (ISO)
Browse and select the Proxmox ISO
Select Guest OS:

Debian 10/11/12 (closest match)
Name your VM (Example: Proxmox-Lab)
Set disk size:
Minimum 32 GB (recommended 100 GB for lab)
Customize hardware:
CPU: 2–4 cores

Network: NAT or Bridged
