Spyderco Native - Different can be good!
The Spyderco Native is a well designed EDC blade. The design purposely varies a bit from many other Spyderco design. The blade is hollow ground and features an awesome unsharpened swege. This version also features the very excellent CPM S30V steel. The knife locks up solidly by utilized a simple but effective mid-spine backlock. The handles are made on solid FRN and the lack of steel liners helps keep the weight down to 2.65oz. The handles provide little traction but are fairly thin. The pocket clip is about average. It retains the knife securely and allows tip up carry for both righties and lefties. One of my only real criticisms of the knife is that it is built with pin construction. That means that you will not be able to disassemble the knife for cleaning. The native's high end steel and US production make it come in at around $60-$70. I would say that the price tag is worth it however there are a lot of good competitors. Other knives the check out would include, Spyderco delica FFG, Spyderco H1 Salt, Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, Kershaw Skyline, and Kershaw Knockout.
