By the time she reaches the curse shop, she has shrunk to the size of a small doll. Ashley explains to Dae that the elixir she took does not give her confidence. It causes a person's body size to re-adjust to the confidence level they have. In Dae's case, she has very little confidence, which is why she has shrunk so much. To reverse the spell, Dae has to offer a show of confidence, and she needs to show big confidence to return to her normal size otherwise she will be small forever.
