We recently had the chance to sit down with Doctor Bill Lumsden (Glenmorangie’s long-time whisky-maker, or ‘Director of Distilling') and taste his latest private release... Private Edition No. 10, otherwise known as ALLTA, a single malt created with the wild yeast that grows on Glenmorangie’s own barley fields near the distillery. Glenmorangie Allta is described as rich and fruity, “marrying biscuit notes with hints of baking bread, mandarin orange and butter candy.”
