Warhammer 40k: How to remove Plastic Glued parts from Models (SAFEST METHOD)
Remove parts that you’ve used Plastic Glue to assemble!!
• Make sure you can hold the model steady.
• Grab some dental floss
• Tie one end around your index finger (knot it so it doesn’t lose tension when pulled)
• Tie the other end around your middle finger on the same hand (make sure that you can maintain a tight strand when spreading index and middle finger apart)
• Then find a spot where you can get the floss into to begin the removal process
• Move the model back and forth along the dental floss, it will file through the glue
• Continue doing so, applying enough pressure as you file through the glue along the seam until you’re all the way through
The piece should pop right off!!
Then you can use a file, mold line remover, hobby knife, etc. to smooth the surface for proper fitment.
