Set Default SharePoint Site Storage Quotas in SharePoint Admin Center
Until recently, SharePoint Admins could only adjust site storage limits in the SharePoint Admin Center by going to:
Settings → Site storage limits → Switch from Automatic to Manual
👉 But this only applied to sites created directly in the SharePoint Admin Center.
💡 What about sites created through Microsoft Teams or the SharePoint Home page?
They still defaulted to 25TB of storage.
🏆 Now there’s a NEW option!
• With the latest update, you can:
• Set default site storage limits under Site Creation settings in the SharePoint Admin Center.
• Apply limits not only to sites created in the Admin Center, but also to those created via Teams, SharePoint Home, and Active Sites.
• This makes storage management much easier and more consistent across your tenant!
