Yes, you can charge your electric car at a standard 230-volt household socket, but in some cases, this can be dangerous. Namely, if you charge in Mode 1.

In this case, you are charging with an emergency charging cable, which offers no control or communication options. Such a cable can neither communicate with your electric car nor guarantee your safety. Therefore, avoid charging with such a cable, as it poses significant risks, such as electric shock. B. In Mode 2, you charge either with an ICCB emergency charging cable or a mobile wallbox. An emergency charging cable with an ICCB has an in-cable control box. This control box monitors the charging process and communicates with your electric car, allowing you to charge much more safely. Instead of charging at a socket with an ICCB cable, you can also use a mobile wallbox with a suitable adapter. This makes charging even safer and potentially smarter, provided you use a smart wallbox. Please note, however, that charging at a household socket takes an extremely long time and is therefore impractical for everyday use. The charging process can take up to 48 hours or even longer. So consider charging at a Schuko socket more of an emergency solution.
▬ Charging your electric car with a wallbox ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

This makes it ideal if your electric car is left in the garage overnight while you sleep. At night or at other times with high electricity supply but low demand, the price per kilowatt-hour can drop even more. Sounds good, right?
