Minecraft Cave Update Split in Half!
The Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update has been cut in half! The update will now come in two separate parts for both Java and Bedrock Edition, part 1 will be Update 1.17, and part 2 will be Update 1.18.
The news came from Minecraft.net in the article linked below. Mojang says the split was unavoidable, due to workload stresses caused by the pandemic, as well as technical difficulties regarding world generation.
In today's video, I'll summarise the announcement, discuss which features will be in which half of the update, and talk about the planned release dates for update 1.17 and update 1.18.
