Copy Material from a Another Brightspace Course
To copy all or part of another Brightspace course (it could be one that you've previously taught or one that a colleague has generously shared by adding you as a Teacher to the class list), open your new, empty Brightspace course shell:
1. On the Navbar, click on the Course Admin icon
2. Select the Import/Export/Copy Components icon
3. Click the Course to Copy: Search for Offering button
4. Enter the course code of the course you'd like to copy from
click Search
5. Select the radio button beside the correct course in the results list
6. Click the blue Add Selected button in the bottom left-hand corner
7. If you want to copy the whole course, click the blue Copy All Components button
or
7. If you only want to copy parts of the course, click the grey Select Components button
Select the components you want to copy from the list on the next page
8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Continue button
9. You may want to use the Offset Dates (you can skip this step)
Check the "Offset all dates of copied components" box
Select the "Calculate range between two dates" radio button
In the From box enter the FIRST day of the quad that you're copying from (for example, Quad 1 was Sep. 22, 2020)
-In the To box enter the first day of the quad that you're using this course shell in (for example, Quad 3 starts Feb. 8, 2021)
10. Click the blue Finish button
