The Black Cat indie short film Pt 3 0f 5
Description: The Black Cat by Director Carl Caprino. Indie short horror film about a man whose wife meets an untimely death. He is visited by a mysterious black cat on Halloween with consequences he could never foresee.
From the Filmmaker:
I started this short film in 2006 and completed it in July of 2010. The film involved a large amount of visual effects which I learned how to do for the film. I have been doing special makeup effects as a hobby since 1992. I was happy for the way it came out, but it's definitely not perfect. I made some minor mistakes, but can't complain as it was kind of a dream project for me. The film was shot on a Panasonic DVX 100a 24p Standard mode. This was before HD cameras and DLSR cameras became popular.... Who knew...? I think the film looks better in the large screen mode than full screen.
Part 1 is mostly set up for the story and the visuals are featured in the rest of the film. There are some time lapse movies of the different makeup applications on my channel. Here is the website that has more production information and photos. www.TheBlackCatfilm.com
