I got fast MacBook pro 2020 for work but don't use it for personal use. Instead use an old 2013 mbp
I don't recommend using company laptops (even if they're much better then your current personal laptop).
In my case.. work let me take home a top of the line 14" 2020 macbook pro that cost about $3400 new. It runs fast and looks great.
But I don't use it for any personal use. Why? Because of privacy reasons.
My company uses crowdstrike and other monitoring software on the laptop.
It's just better to not have a trail of what the company could see that your doing.. even if it's as innocent as checking your personal email on the company work laptop.
That's the reason why I made this video. I just don't feel safe about using company equipment knowing it is being closely monitored.
