Obvious influence on my Super Cambur comics and videogames...
Dragon Ball was for many or almost all of us, a series that marked a before and after of our lives. Today I feel grieving, as I'm sure many of you do. And the truth is that what I am doing today with Super Cambur, I owe a large part to him.
Making my own comic, having my own story, my own superhero, probably wouldn't have been possible without his inspiration.
Today I took out my comics from '96, to remember his great influence. Just like today, I have shared with my son the pain I feel about losing him and the fact that Dragon Ball (manga) was not finished. Now, pass the generation again.
I leave you a couple of clips where you can see my work as a child:
In the first one you can see the obvious and blatant influence of Akira 😅
In the second I show two curiosities, the first is that I spent a night without sleeping (as a child) because I was obsessed with making my 3D comic with the typical 3D glasses that have blue/red on the lenses. So I played with the depths and color mix of the background to achieve this (the things we did without internet at that time!).
The last one is that I show my wife why I have a Halloween pumpkin in the Super Cambur games and everything was already thought of, it is a real villain from the Super Cambur universe.
Thank you Akira Toriyama, without you this would not be possible. It won't be goodbye but a see you later! Thank you again for everything Akira Toriyama Sensei.
