I built 3 mastering plugins — an EQ matcher, a soft clipper, and a peak limiter — and in this video I'm showing you my full mastering chain on an EDM instrumental track. EQ match a reference, clip for punch, limit for loudness. Simple, loud, clean results.
Whether you're mastering your own beats, finishing AI-generated tracks from Suno or Udio, or trying to get loud competitive masters for streaming — this chain gets you there. Links to grab the plugins below.
MY PLUGINS USED IN THIS VIDEO:
1. ToneMatch EQ ($39) — Load any reference track (WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC), capture your mix, click match. Real-time amount control and spectral display. Your mix takes on the tonal balance of the tracks you admire.

2. Iron Clip ($29) — One-knob clipper with 4x/8x/16x anti-aliasing oversampling. Adds punch and loudness without harsh digital artifacts. Built-in LUFS and True Peak metering.

3. Iron Limiter ($39) — Intelligent peak limiter with adaptive release, lookahead, and 4x oversampling. Push to -8/-7 LUFS clean and transparent. Delta mode and gain match for honest A/B comparison.

WHY I DON'T MASTER AT -14 LUFS:
Streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube all normalize playback to around -14 LUFS — but they only turn tracks DOWN, never up. A track mastered at -8 LUFS gets turned down to -14 for playback. A track mastered at -14 stays at -14. Playback volume ends up similar either way. But the louder master keeps all the punch, density, and energy that clipping and limiting added — those survive normalization. A quiet master at the same playback volume will always sound thinner. Master loud with a clean chain, let the platform handle the rest.

I built these plugins because I wanted a fast, no-nonsense mastering chain that just works. I'd love for you to try them out.
