The Witcher 3 : Blood and Wine - Syanna's Theme on a music box
Another tune from The Witcher 3, this time from the Blood and Wine DLC. Despite being beautiful, this particular theme was not included in the soundtrack - this is different from the "Syanna" track - and is only heard three times during the playthrough as far as I can remember.
In addition to bringing us in Toussaint, a luscious new "southern France" environment (la "Provence") with stunning landscapes, along with beautiful themes such as "The Slopes of the Blessure", the expansion also threw in some very compelling story lines. One of them is Syanna's, who plays a major role in the plot (spoilers ahead).

Sylvia Anna - or Syanna for short - is Duchess Anna Henrietta's older sister. She was born under a eclipse and was believed to have been afflicted with the Curse of the Black Sun, like all the other girls born that day. Those girls were supposed to be possessed by demons and were hunted and killed from a young age. Syanna's family, except her sister, believed that and treated her with disdain and hate, only looking for a reason to get rid of her. One day when she was still in her teens, a prank when too far. She was bannished, stripped from her title. The knights who escorted her out, supposedly paragons of virtue, mocked her, abused her and left her to die. She survived, swore to never forget and to take revenge on this duchy and its hypocrisy.

This is a theme that sounds full of regrets to me, of things past that can never be forgotten, but also of inevitable fate, as Syanna never chose her own. The original track is played by a harp and a set of strings, with the movement repeating a few times, each time with a focus on a different instrument and minor variations. I really loved it and hope this arrangement will do it some justice. Also, I think it'd make a great lullaby for children!
