I would buy this chlorine float: https://amzn.to/2X47BCv and 1 inch chlorine tablets: https://amzn.to/3go9S30 and use that for the season and if you wan't to upgrade to saltwater next year you're only out a little bit of money and you might decide the chlorine tablets work just fine for you anyway!)

(this is the exact ones that we bought and installed, but if ebay doesn't have it in stock in the future you'll have to find a 1.25" inlet and outlet and ours was made by Summer Waves). At the moment there is no great Amazon option. If I find one I'll add it here. Intex does make a kit with plunger valves that you can use to stop the water from flowing to the pump if you need to do some maintenance, but I haven't tested it out so I can't recommend it. I will help a friend install one soon though so I'll update you on that.
Pool Salt: Go to Lowes or Home Depot or a pool supply store and buy a $10 bag. Do not order it online! Very expensive because of shipping!
