Broken panasonic camcorder. **Now fixed**

I dug this camera out of a closet about a week ago. It worked when I first charged the battery and switched it on. Then about 5 days later, this started to happen, so I let it sit and dry out for 2 days, and it still does this! I have now learned there was a defect in this particular series of cameras' dew detecters. So if you turn it on you will get a message to eject the tape. Then after about 5-10 seconds it will shut itself off, even on a fresh battery.
