Quickly change/hide WordPress admin, login, and registration page urls
Once you successfully install a WordPress website, it doesn’t take long to figure out that you’ll need to change your WordPress website’s admin, registration, and login page urls.
Why you ask? In most cases, you’ll notice a spike in login attempts by persons using multiple IP addresses. Or maybe there’s a spike in spammy user account registrations.
To limit either case form happening, I recommend password protecting the wp-admin using your web hosting provider’s built in file manager as one option.
Another option is simply using a WordPress plugin designed to not only protect your website from brute force attacks but allows you to change the url names of the register, wp-admin and wp-login files/directories.
