Alien Isolation 2 Using Unreal Engine 5… I’m Worried
Alien Isolation 2 is officially happening… but there’s one thing that has me concerned.
The sequel is being built in Unreal Engine 5, and while that sounds great on paper, I’m not fully convinced it’s the right fit for a game like Alien Isolation.
In this video I talk about why Unreal Engine can sometimes make games feel the same, how performance and AI upscaling could be an issue, and whether this could affect the atmosphere that made the original so special.
There’s definitely potential here… but also a real risk.
