What starts as a simple idea—“let’s make a bathtub”—quickly becomes a series of critical decisions involving size, water capacity, insulation, plumbing, and cost. Do we go bigger and invest in a €5,000 water heater… or design something smaller and more efficient?
Alongside the tub, we begin constructing a fully custom sink base using concrete, brick, and rebar—designed around a unique stone basin we fell in love with. Every measurement matters, every angle counts, and nothing is straightforward in a centuries-old structure with uneven walls and tight spaces.
This episode is full of real-life problem solving, unexpected complications, and creative DIY building. From relaxing bathtub dreams to grinding metal and pouring concrete, this is one of the most hands-on and detail-heavy projects we’ve taken on yet.
