Running Henstridge Airfield Parkrun & Review of Linley Yurt, Somerset
We recently stayed at Linley Yurt in Somerset, an off grid Yurt set in the grounds of Kimbers Farm Shop, in rural Bruton in Somerset. During our long weekend stay we decided to do a spot of Parkrun tourism and attended Henstridge Airfield Parkrun.
Henstridge Airfield Parkrun is set in the grounds of Henstridge Airfiled and is a 90% off-road route, looping around the fields and woods surrounding the airfield. Its mainly flat, but there are some very small undulating hills at the start as you enter the section of grass to keep you on your toes.
We attended the 88th running of the event which saw 184 runners paticipate in this free 5k run which happens every Saturday morning at 9am.
A very well marshalled event and a good welcome annoucement for newbies and Parkrun tourists like us, detailing safety and course route.
